Celebrates 10th Year with 15 Unique Shops!
This milestone event will feature 15 fabulous local yarn shops, each offering their own unique “flavor” with exclusive specials, trunk shows, and more — all crafted to inspire fiber enthusiasts of every level.
Whether you’re a seasoned knitter, crochet lover, or just discovering the world of fiber arts, the Yarn Crawl is a fantastic way to explore the vibrant and diverse community of yarn shops throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Over the course of four fun-filled days, participants can travel from shop to shop, discovering new yarns, meeting fellow crafters, and soaking in creative inspiration at every stop.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating over a decade of the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl,” said Ande Lockwood of Craftworks Yarn & Gift shop. “Every shop brings something different to the table — it’s like a fiber festival spread across the region! This event is a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses, discover new projects, and of course, stock up on gorgeous yarn.”
Crawlers can expect exclusive giveaways, limited edition kits, and plenty of surprises along the way. Whether you visit one shop or all fifteen, you won’t want to miss this landmark celebration of all things yarn.

Get Your Passport
Print out the 2025 Passport and get it stamped when you visit each of the participating GBYC shops to be eligible to enter our drawings of prizes from our sponsors and gift cards from the shops!
Knit/Crochet the Crawl Pattern
Download the crawl pattern (you can find a download code for GBYC participants here) and start working on your shawl. Wear it on your shop visits!
Visit the shops
Come on in! All the participating shops will be ready with special events, offers, and surprises. Get your passport stamped to enter your name for great prizes!
Don’t Forget About the Prizes
Make sure to check the Prize Baskets in each shop. At the end of the crawl and no later than Oct. 15, send/drop off the passport at the shop with your favorite basket, and you will be entered in the drawing for the shop’s basket and for the GBYC Grand Prizes (gift cards from the participating shops).
The more shops you visit, the larger the prizes for which your passport qualifies you.
